NEW LOOK

I thought I would check in sense I have not blogged in a while.Things are going well here just wish spring would hurry and get here,we have lite snow coming down right now but looks like next weekend it will be up in the 70s.

I have been playing with a new look for my blog page,but not quite satisfied with it yet.

All is good here in the Midwest…

I will leave you with something to smile about.

Bummed Out

I don’t have anything to write about that is of any interest to anybody. I just have a lot of things on my mind that is family and  personal that has had me down and bummed out over the past few days. With out going in to any great detail lets just say I have been disappointed and let down. Again!!! Why do people you care about and love do the things they do? And if that’s not enough I have been dealing with my mom in the nursing home. She’s not playing nice with the nurse’s.

And if that’s not enough our refrigerator is on the blink,all the food is sitting in several ice chest in the kitchen. 

So enough of my problems,I found some interesting photos I thought some of you may like to see. All were caught at the right angels.

HAS SPRING SPRUNG??

First thing, all the pictures were taken with my cell phone. Note to self put extra camera in truck.

This week has turned out to be real nice, I think spring has sprung and is here to stay,I hope after all I do live in Missouri and the weather can change in no time,Friday we got up to 71.

Friday afternoon we went for a walk in Parkville,MO it’s about 4 miles from the house and sits right on the Missouri River. It’s also home to Park College named after the founder of Parkville.

Sunday we do the spring forward thing on the clocks. I guess that’s means spring is here.

  

Kind of  hard to see in this picture the college sit’s on a hill overlooking the river.

This old home sits on the bottom of the hill toward the river and by the train tracts. It’s one of the oldest home’s in the county.

There are several of these old and very large trees that sit along the banks of the Missouri,make me wander how much history and flooding they have seen.

First I want to thank all of you for the kind words and prayers for my mom,it means so much to us knowing that people we have never met in person can show they care for someone they have never met. Thank You

Stressful Week

Monday my brother and sister and I moved mom into a nursing home because we had no one to take care of her while my brother and sister in-law worked.

Mom did not understand why she had to move into the home and thought she had done something wrong. We tried to tell her she had not done anything wrong and that we just needed someone to watch over her.

If you have never been to a Alzheimer ward it is probably the most depressing place you can go. This is a all women ward and it is like watching a bunch of children in old people bodies acting out. I told Angela that if I get like that to just put me out in the desert and let the coyote's get me.It would be better and faster then sitting in a warehouse in God’s waiting room for my time to come.

With all that going on we did get to go out to eat at a Mexican restaurant,those are not all of Angela’s plates some are mine,she had more than she could handle on her plate.  

That’s about it for our stressful week here.
