Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Cabernet in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!"

300000 MEALS

For those of you that don’t know I work for a large United Methodist Church as a Facilities Manager.

This past weekend we had a Faith in Action Weekend.

We had volunteer’s doing projects  all over the area like landscaping around the church and ten acre of land we own. Also there was helping widows and shut-ins with things around there homes, helping with a Habitat house build and several other things.

But the biggest  project was packing meals for Haiti.

We teamed up with a organization called  Numana Saving the Starving http://www.numanainc.com/index.cfm and the Salvation army .

Volunteers worked in shifts both days.

300.000 meals, what a great cause, that is just mind boggling, I hope it all goes to good use in Haiti, They have sure had their share of suffering. Was looking at Annie's picture, she could be Rigg's sister, and what a tongue, Rigg's has a huge tongue too. If you ask for a kiss you get a bath. Weather sure is great lately. be safe out there.
