Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Cabernet in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!"

Living Off The Grid

We have been living off the grid since November and loving it. We have all the comforts of home, its cheap and we are not stacked in like cord wood next to each other. We can sit out doors and be alone if we want or visit the neighbors close by.

Taking the honey wagon out to dump every 7 days..

Our power at $5 a day.

Pumping water into the fresh water tank..

The front yard..

Watching the Sun set..

Love this life!!

It is a great way to live. Going to be hot this weekend but hopefully will cool down next week and be more normal.

You make it look so simple! I know it can be, but we never tried it for that long, just a few days at a time. Like the pump and the honey wagon. Still can't figure out where we would carry one however.

There is nothing better than to do what you like to do...
It is so nice to get lost on the right route...

Looks like you've found a pretty nice place to hangout and have adapted perfectly.

Great thing about fulltime living is that there are so many ways you can do it. We are on the opposite end of the spectrum, 50a full hookups for us, 30a is camping to us:-)
