Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Cabernet in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!"

GETTING READY

My week was pretty slow at work not much to report.

Friday my day off we had to go to the church and have our picture taken one with of both of us for the church directory and one of me for the staff part of the directory.

That was the first time we had our picture taken by a professional photographer.

Saturday we hauled a pickup load of stuff down to the thrift store. We are cleaning out the house of 25 years of stuff we don’t need. I have a lot of work to do to get the house ready for sale. We also took a load over to the daughter’s house she has just moved into.

It feels good to start working the plan and preparing for the day we can hit the road.

Sunday its back to work day,I enjoy the job and the people I get to work with and the laid back atmosphere of the church. Not a bad gig for a pre retirement job and good benefits, free health insurance and about four weeks vacation and the pay’s not bad.

I don’t have any picture’s but it seems like everybody is digging into there archive’s so here is some of Annie,Lady and Mad Max.
