Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Cabernet in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!"

Wednesday Funny

What a Beautiful Day:

My face in the mirror

Isn't wrinkled or drawn.

My house isn't dirty.

The cobwebs are gone.

My garden looks lovely

And so does my lawn.

I think I might never

Put my glasses back on

and the youngest you will ever be again... enjoy it
Observations On Growing Older

~Your Kids are becoming you...and you don't like them...but your grandchildren are Perfect!

~Going Out is good… Coming Home is better!

~You Forget names ... But it's OK because other people forgot they Even knew you!!!

~You realize you're never going to be really good at anything ...
Especially Golf.

~Your spouse is counting on you to remember things you don't remember.

~The things you used to care to do, you no longer care to do, but you really do care that you don't care to do them anymore.

~Your husband sleeps better on a lounge chair with the TV blaring than he does in bed. It's Called "Pre-sleep".

~You miss the days when everything worked with just an "ON" and "OFF" Switch…

~You tend to use more 4 letter words ... "what?" ... "when?"... ???

~Now that you can afford expensive jewelry, it's not safe to wear it anywhere.

~You notice everything sold in stores is "sleeveless" !!!!

~What used to be freckles are now liver spots.

~Everybody Whispers.

~Now that your husband has retired ... You'd give anything if he'd find a job!

~You have 3 sizes of clothes in your closet ... 2 of which you will never wear.

~~~But Old is good in some things: Old songs, Old movies, and best of all, OLD FRIENDS!!
It's Not What You Gather,
But What You Scatter That Tells What Kind Of Life You Have Lived!
TG and Question on Full timing
WE had Thanksgiving dinner at home with our kids and grandkids. After we stuffed our self’s and it was so nice outside we sat out front to enjoy the weather while it is still here,it won’t belong and it will be real cold here.
Riley dressed up in his uncle Blake’s dirt bike gear.
Daughter Jessica and SIL Steve and granddaughter  Savannah .
After the feast and a day off it was back to painting and planning for our future .
I have been doing a lot of reading on different web sites about the fulltime life and I know I tend to over think a lot of things and it is  starting to wearing my brain out,not that it wasn't  already worn a little. I know these question everyone has seen or thought about and no one answer is for everybody, if you have a comment please leave it.
1. Domicile Texas or South Dakota?
2. Health Ins?
3. Should we buy a extended warranty on the truck and trailer?
4. Cell phone ATT,Sprint or Verizon?
5. Inter Net?
6. Truck and Trailer insurance? Do they offer a full replacement   type  of insurance
7. Do most of you have a exit plan?
These are just some of the many question I have.
National WWI Museum
Friday we need to get out of the house for a while  from all the painting and fixing and all the planning, after all we have till spring to get it all done. But of course we want it all done right now!!
After living here in Kansas City all our life and never been to, we went to see the National WWI Museum in downtown KC.
003In 2004 the Museum was designated by Congress as the United States official World War I Museum, opening to the public on December 2, 2006, as the National World War I Museum at Liberty Memorial. The Museum presents a comprehensive interpretation of World War I (1914-1919).
After spending about tow hours in the under ground museum and seeing so many WWI artifacts.
We then went up in the  217 foot tower overlooking downtown and man was it windy on the top,blowing about 40mph.
Looking down on Union Station, the old train station.   018
 019  At the far end of the entrance drive is where the “occupy KC protesters “ are camped out.
After that we went for a late lunch to the city’s market,as we drove thru downtown looking for a taco truck and didn’t see one we settled for. Burrito Brothers
We had a good day and it was good to get out in the sunshine.
Saturday it was back to work tearing out the rest of the carpet. Do you know what’s under all that old carpet it’s gross, we will never put carpet back in the 5th wheel when it’s time to change it.
I’m back to work Sunday,Monday,Tuesday,and off Wednesday,Thursday,Friday,Saturday.
Wednesday Funny
Marriage or Relationship.
If you want someone who will eat whatever you put in front of him and never say it's not quite as good as his mother's...
then adopt a dog.
If you want someone always willing to go out, at any hour,
for as long and wherever you want...
 mime-attachment 2
then adopt a dog.
If you want someone who will never touch the remote, doesn't care about football, and can sit next to you as you watch romantic movies...
mime-attachment 3
then adopt a dog.
If you want someone who is content to get on your bed, just to warm your feet and whom you can push off, if he snores...
mime-attachment 4
then adopt a dog.
If you want someone who never criticizes what you do, doesn't care if you are pretty or ugly, fat or thin, young or old, who acts as if every word you say is especially worthy of listening to, and loves you unconditionally, perpetually...
then adopt a dog.
BUT, on the other hand, if you want someone who will never come when you call, ignores you totally when you come home, leaves hair all over the place, walks all over you, runs around all night and only comes home to eat and sleep, and acts as if your entire existence is solely to ensure his happiness...
..then adopt a cat!
You thought I was going to say... marry a man, didn't you?
New Rules
After last weeks BIG BIG SURPRISE this week has been just the opposite nothing much going on. We sure do love the 5th wheel and find our self's sitting in it and talking about where to put things and what to take and what to get rid of.
We are putting the house up for sale this spring,so Saturday I started painting the ceiling’s and Angela is working on pulling up all the carpet,that took up most of the day.
I woke up Sunday morning at 5am to go to work and felt like I had been in a car wreck I was so sore. (out of shape) We (she) have a lot of painting to get done this winter. I guess when we (she) gets tired of painting she can look out the window at the 5th wheel and see why she is painting.
The boss (Angela) has made a rule that NO ONE can wear shoe’s in the 5th wheel. Guess we will see how long that last.. Yes dear I will take my shoe’s off. Some of you wanted to see picture’s of the inside of the 5th wheel.
Wednesday Funny
    • Breeding Bulls
      My wife and I went to the Jefferson County 4H agricultural show and one of the first exhibits we stopped at was the breeding bulls. We went up to the first pen and there was a sign attached that said,
My wife playfully nudged me in the ribs .....Smiled and said, 'He mated 50 times last year, that's almost once a week.'
We walked to the second pen which had a sign attached that said,
My wife gave me a healthy jab and said, 'WOW~~That's more than twice! A week ! ..........You could learn a lot from him.'
We walked to the third pen and it had a sign attached that said,
In capital letters,
My wife was so excited that her elbow nearly broke my ribs, and said,
'That's once a day ..You could REALLY learn something from this one.'
I looked at her and said,
'Go over and ask him if it was with the same cow.'
My condition has been upgraded from critical
To stable and I should eventually make a full recovery.
The BIG BIG News
Some of you may be wondering what the big news is.
After several sleepless and stressful day’s we decided I should get on a plane and go visit George and Linda and there little man Buddy
So off to Phoenix,AZ I went Tuesday evening. After landing at Sky Harbor airport witch is a whole city it self very large and finally finding my way to the front door,then locating the rental car bus.
By the time I got the car and drove the 30 miles to Sun City West and found my hotel I was worn out. Did I mention I have not flown on a plane in 15 years can you say stress..
Nice room and not a bad price.
After another restless night and wondering if we were making the right choice. Any of you know what I’m talking about? I guess you will have to read on to see what I did before you can answer that.
Up early Wednesday 2 o'clock ,3 o’clock,4 o’clock and finely 6 o’clock got up and dressed then down stairs to try and  choke down a little of the free breakfast.
View  out the window of my room.
Finally a round 8 o’clock after thinking about getting back on that plane and getting back to KC, I drove over to meet George and Linda. I meet George out back of there condo, we hit it off right away and had a good chin wagging.
This is what I came here to see George about..
After George kept twisting my arm we made a deal and it was ours. Let me tell you that George is a tuff salesman.
George,Linda and Buddy were some of the nicest people and dog you could ever meet.  After saying our good byes I was off back to KC sure hated to leave that beautiful area.
I left about 1pm Wednesday and drove thru some beautiful country.
One picture I forgot to get was one of George,Linda and Buddy,to many things on my mind I guess.
After a long 1400 mile drive I arrived home Friday at 2pm tired. But let me say that Dodge Cummins pulled like a champ up and down hills.
Now the next move is to put the house on the market next spring and hope it sells fast.
We want to leave here with some money and be debt free.
