Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Cabernet in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!"

TIME OFF

I had the last three days off and had plans to get something's done around the house, like yard and plant a  small garden. Also wanted to start on installing the new windows in the house.

Here I sit looking out the window cloudy, windy, on and off sprinkles, not a real good day to get anything done.

I did manage to clean and sweep the garage up.We have been going thru stuff around here to get rid of and clear it out.

Angela had defrosted some baby back ribs and had planned on me putting them on the smoker.

She has homemade potato salad and baked beans.

Sure wish the pictures were scratch and sniff and you could smell the hickory….

That's it for a dark and gray Sunday……

WHAT TO DO FIRST

Sitting here at work staring out the window looking at it rain.

I’m thinking of things I need to get done on the house before we sell it.

We still have a few years to go on the four year plan. But like they say plans are written in jell-o so it could happen sooner.

We have been in the house twenty five years so a lot needs to be done to up date it.

I’m going to start installing replacement windows that I have order as soon as they come in.

We had a hail storm about two weeks ago and I called the insurance co. to check my roof,so I hope we can get a new roof.

I think right now the plan will be when time nears we will find the fifth wheel and truck we like. Right now its the Montana 3750FL. www.keystone-montana.com

After the purchase we will clean out the house and move into the rv and live in the drive way while we paint and fix up the inside of the house and put it on the market.

I have the next three days off,I was planning on doing some outside work, like trim bushes and plant a small garden.

But as my luck would have it looks like rain.

SATURDAY DAY TRIP

Angela,Annie and I were up and gone early.

We had a golf cart that we used at are Lake of the Ozark place tell it was sold this year.001

I got this cart several years ago and put a lift kit and bigger tires and wheels and a few other things on it and use it to get around the lake property.002

We did not need it anymore,I sold it to Angela’s mom and dad, they own a small farm south of Kansas City about 2 hours.

003

Annie at our McDonald stop for breakfast004

We got to her mom and dads and Annie got to play with her cousins.

005 006

007

They ran and played in the creek tell they were wore out.

We had a good lunch of stake and potatoes. We had a nice visit and it was time to head home,Annie was ready she was tired of all the running and swimming.

On the way back we stopped at Appleton City,Mo.009

This is a small town witch reminds me of Mayberry.008

Saturday afternoon and this town is closed up except for a action going on at the city park.

I love little towns they are so laid back and peaceful.010 011

The old hospital is now apartments.

   013

Can’t get many books in this library.

012

Just outside of Butler,MO we passed a rural cemetery and saw a sign.

014

I had to stop and see this.015

016

And there it was hooked to a board so that no one could get away with it.

When I turned it over there was money laying there, not sure why.

Had a good day trip.

GOOD FRIDAY,STORM,ALLEGRA

Today is good Friday before Easter Sunday…

Personally I thought every Friday was good…

This morning about 10 am it turned dark so dark the street lights came on a big storm blew thru here so hard it was raining sideways.

I was trying to get my morning nap in and watch the Bonnie Hunt show then news channel took over with the news on the storm.

I guess it was blowing so hard it was turning semi’s over on the interstate. Glad I was in a stick’s and brick’s and not in the RV.

The only one that took cover was Annie (our Lab) she went down stairs to the basement..She’s been watching a lot on the weather channel and learned that.

Sun’s out now and the pollen has got my allergies all out of whack…thank God for Allegra..

HAPPY EASTER
