Sunday starts a new week for me. Have to be to work at the church at 6AM to get things ready for the three services.
Yesterday was a big church day because it was Mother’s Day.I just sit around and visit with folks and make sure things are running smooth. Not a bad gig for a paying job.
After church (work) we head over to my sisters to see my 85 year old mother it was great to see mom. She has Alzheimer’s so she has good days and bad days. Its hard to watch mom like that, she was always the rock in the family and took care of everything.
After we had a nice visit we went to find a restaurant that wasn't lined out the door. Thought we would drive by a Cracker Barrel Angela said there would be no way we would get in there.
So being a male I had to drive by and see. There was no line and the parking lot about 3/4 full got right in and got a table. Had a great meal then headed home to watch a little TV before bed.
ONE DAY CLOSER TO THE DREAM

Kenny and Angela,
Thanks for following my blog! I can empathize with you having a hard time with your mom's decline. I lost my mom this February after a battle with Alzheimer's and a stroke. It isn't easy.
Keep dreaming and it will happen! Hope to see you "on the road."
Kenny, I'm so sorry about your mother's illness. My uncle had that and I know it is difficult to witness the progression of the disease. My thoughts and prayers will be with you and your family. Thanks for sharing your day with us.
I am also sorry to hear about your mother. I certainly understand how you feel. My mother had several massive strokes that took her away from us for two years before she passed away. Hers was dementia which works much like Alzheimer only more sudden. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Thanks for sharing with us and hold tight to your dream.

Kenny, thanks for reading my blog.
Like everyone above I'm sorry to hear about your mom. My mother's husband (my dad died in '91) is in the early stages of the disease. To make matters worse he is 76 and has not been to a doctor in over 60 years. He refuses to go now and the stress of dealing with him is starting to wear on my mother who is 75.

Thank you for reading our blog, you may live through us vicariously until you are on the road.
One of the reasons we came out here earlier is that I lost my brother (baby of 40), year later my mom, and a year after that Jerry's dad died from Alzheimer's, so we understand exactly how you feel.
Please take the time to take care of yourselves. Too often when a family member is sick, you get so busy with them, you neglect yourself...we did but are now making up for it.
