Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Cabernet in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!"

FIRST DAY OF SPRING

Today is the first day of spring or so I’m told, having a real hard time believing that when I look outside.

We have had a long cold and snowy winter here. It’s great to have spring here at last,it was sunny and 64 yesterday.

And this morning we woke to this and 24 outside.

001

And its still snowing!!

The way I look at all of this is, its a test to see how bad we want to sell the house and hit the road.

Note to self: move up the departure date..

ONE DAY CLOSER TO THE DREAM

Kenny & Angela,Isn't it amazing what the differance of 200 or so miles make, We live on the west end of St Charles County in Dardenne Prairie Mo. Right now it is a misty rain and 41 degree's, a lot better than snow. The last two days have been gorgeous sunny in the upper 60's. Even thursday when I drove the bus back from Kentucky to Kingdom City MO. I know you guys are in the Kansas City MO. area, I get many trips through there, this winter I passed through going to Lawrence Ks, and Shawnee OK. The Trailways affiliate I work for does a lot of work for the colleges in mid Mo. Maybe when it gets warm before we sell the house if you decvide you want to pull your trailer east we could meet for a weekend at a midway point like Lazy Daze Campground in Danville or Cottonwoods in Columbia MO. I have stayed at Lazy Daze and it is nice, and I have been told by our drivers that Cottonwoods is also nice.Anyway we are counting down too. I hope it will be in the next few months when Donna retires and we put the house on the market. She is waiting to find out the date she will have to work till to be elgible for an additional months vacation. Be Safe Sam & Donna.
