Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Cabernet in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!"

OUR 4th OF JULY WEEKEND

Friday we spent the morning I doing the yard work and Angela doing cleaning work.

Then it was time for shopping first it was Wal Mart for a seal a meal.

We had gunny sack full of sweet corn to shuck and seal .We also thought the seal a meal would come in handy when we start full timing.

Then it was off to the grocery store and there we found some meat on sale and then back home to seal the meat up.

After all the sealing was done we realized our freezer in the kitchen was not big enough to hold all the corn and meat.

Off to Lowes we go to buy a small freezer we think and hope it will fit in the 5th wheel we will buy.

After all shucking and meat cutting and sealing it was time for Happy Hour.

Saturday it was up early to go ride are new bikes.

We have two Turtle Doves that live in our yard and one stayed still long enough to get a picture..

After the bike ride we just hung around the house and chilled in the a/c it was a hot day.

Sunday it was up a 5am to go to work at the church.Yes I had to work on the 4th of July. Church goes on and the lord works seven days a week.

They had a picnic with hot dogs and all the fixings and two water slides for the kids.

After work we went next door for a little pool party .

When it got dark enough for fire works the rain came and kind of put an end to that .

Monday I got the day off and when I got up it was cloudy and raining so it looks like a TV and computer day.

Hope everyone had a fun and safe 4th.

We spent the morning doing yard work also, we had that tree knocked down by last weeks big storm so the chain saws were flashing and we dragged the smaller limbs that wouldn't be fit for burning back to the wood pile with the john deere, Both of us were wore out by noon, we started at 08:30am and theres still a little left but it started to rain here too so that was it , didn't want the tractor to get wet. Just sat around till it was time to grill some pork steaks and ebjoyed a supper at home. Hope you guys are doing good and the pooches to, Rigg's says hi. Be safe out there. Sam & Donna.

A freezer...yes, a good idea. We have some full-time friends from Minnesota who moved their dining table to make room for a small freezer..They keep a boat at Lake Bronson and do lots of fishing in the summer...and lots of freezing fish!! Keep planning for the "Dream"..it will be here before you know it!!!!

How do you like your bikes? We really enjoy riding bikes, especially when it's not breezy or hilly.

I never thought of buying a seal-a-meal, but it would be handy if it keeps meat from spoiling. Keep us posted about how well it works! Is it only usely if you are going to freeze the items?

We have several full-time friends that have a seal-a-meal and they love it. We have been thinking about getting one but just haven't gotten around to it yet. Our Dutch Star came with a freezer in the basement and we LOVE it.

Glad you all had a nice 4th of July weekend and you have Monday off. A rainy day sometimes makes for a great day off.

Take care and you are indeed getting closer to the dream!!

Man, you guys were BUSY!! I'm tired just reading about everything you did. LOL

Hope you have a great week filling those bags for the seal-a-meal. Aren't they great?

My original comment must have gotten in that blog issue they were having this week.
We have a few full-time friends that have the seal-a-meal and they love it. We have been talking about getting one but haven't gotten around to it yet. Maybe we should. We do have a freezer in our basement so it would be helpful.

You all take care!
