Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Cabernet in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!"

Need New Tires

Please watch the video.  There's a short commercial before it, but watch the video to the end.  Go check your tires now...!

After watching the video I went out to check the date on the Tioga and found out the rear tire’s where 9 years old and the front where 5 years old.

I like most people just looked at the tread to tell what kind of of shape the tire’s are in.

After seeing the video it got my attention and I started shopping for some new shoe’s for the MH.

After looking around it looks like I can buy them cheaper off the internet than I can in a retail store. But I want to make sure of the manufacture date.

Do you know the date your tire’s were manufactured?

ONE DAY CLOSER TO OUR DREAM

We put new shoes on the fiver this week. The tread was still pretty good but not the date. So out they went. Good information.

The Hiker's tires are almost 5 years old...won't be long until she needs some new slippers...Better safe than sorry, right? We had 3 blowouts with our Cougar...NOT FUN!!

We always check the dates. We had to replace all four tires on our 2009 Montana due to blow outs and extreme wear. RV Mgrs. at known for putting cheap, cheap tires on new rigs. So a lesson learned, even if you have a NEW Rv, don't count on the tires to last long.

The tire dates are one of the few things I do know about tires in general and I always check them when buying new tires.

Age sure is important in RV tires and most folks will not wear them out with miles. Checking the dates on new ones is also critical since legally they can sell several year old tires as new.

Not sure how you can do that with buying them on the internet?

I saw a 60 minutes show on this once and since that time we've always checked the dates on our tires. And a good thing because tire salesmen will sell you an old tire in a minute if you're not on top of it.
