Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Cabernet in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!"

Got Crabs In Branson

Monday I told Angela I need to get some crabs before we leave Branson and head to Amazon.

So Angela said I needed to go to Joe's Crab Shack To get them. Here we are at Joe's and me with my crab bib on.

There they are in the bucket they brought me.

It also had this little guy looking at me in the bucket.
It was not bad but I have had better..

We left Tuesday morning for our 180 mile trip to Coffeyville, KS and Amazon.
Took us about 4 hours to reach Big Chief RV Park across the road from Amazon. It's not much just a field with about 200 spots with gravel and no tree's. It will do for what we are here for.

Tuesday and Wednesday we got settled in and took a drive around Coffeyville and found the Walmart and got me a hair cut.

Thursday was our first day at work it started at 8am and had 5 hours of  orientation and the same for Friday.

We start our shift today at 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM thru Wednesday. Then 3 day's off, not to bad of hours.

Those crabs sure look good... looks like a nice "send-off" meal for Kansas. About that RV park... it's funny how if you were on vacation you'd probably turn away from a place with no trees etc... but your priorities can change with the situation. We lived for a month in a muddy mess... because it was close to our job... and it didn't bother us (too much).

Good luck with ten hour days. I couldn't do it any more.

I love Maryland crabs. They just dump them on the table and you pound them to smithereens to get the meat out. Such fun. Good luck at Amazon.

Doing gate guarding in Texas it was on a dusty site. But, hey it was Texas.

Good luck with Amazon. Gotta just remember - it ain't forever.

Those are the only kind of crabs you want:) Will be interesting to hear how work at Amazon goes. Others I have heard from say it is very hard work.

We worked at amazon 2 years ago and are considering returning next year. The hours are long but it was worth it. Big Chief is just as you described it but it is convenient, we usually rode our bikes over to work. Our good friends Kevin and Evelyn should be joining you soon, if you haven't met them I sure hope you do.
