Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Cabernet in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!"

Pancho Villa

What a week we have had. We left Coffeyville, KS last Sunday because Angela had a toothache and I have a bad rotator. Yep getting older is not for sissy.

We started for the Mexico border to get her tooth fixed. It took us 4 days to get to Deming, NM  we crossed the border at Palomas on Thursday. Angela had caps on her front teeth and under one of the caps the tooth had died and had to be pulled. It has a stitch and they made her a false tooth. We were told to come back this coming Thursday to have it removed and do a deep cleaning.

Since we have to spend the week here we moved down to Columbus, NM to Pancho Villa State Park. I was wandering if he was related to Bob Villa.

Some pictures of our Mexico day trip.

If all goes well we will be heading to Arizona on Friday.

This will be our hideout for the next week..

We stayed there during Pancho Villa Days in March of '09..what a great time we had! We had some great Margaritas at the Pink Store too. Columbus has some fabulous history...Don't miss the museum that has a clock where bullet struck it and it stopped at the exact time Pancho Villa and his banditos invaded Columbus!

Sorry you had to travel while having a tooth ache. But, gee, you had good dental work in Mexico and margaritas? That would make me feel better!

From what I understand, Pancho Villa was a great-great uncle of Bob Villa. Doing renovations of old homes was handed down from Pancho to Bob via the paternal side of the family. Just thought you would want to know.

I'll be heading to Algodones for dental work in January. Hopefully the teeth will hold out til then. I'm hoping Angela isn't in any pain now.
