Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Cabernet in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!"

JUST CHECKING IN

I read a lot of blogs and it looks like everyone that's not in a mountain region is sweating it out this summer.

The weekend was pretty much a stay inside and soak up the A/C. We have gotten pretty spoiled over the years with the A/C.

Its not like growing up as a kid without  A/C what every did we do without it?

Saturday we went to the church I work for and had our employee  picnic and remembered what we did as kids when it was hot outside we found some water to play in..

She is adorable and had the right idea! When life gives you heat....sit in the water and make mud pies! Wouldn't that be fun???
Yes, it has been mighty hot this summer. I think everyone is anxious for fall and cooler weather.
You all take care and stay cool as you can!!

That picture is priceless, remind's me of when my youngest boy (28 now) was playing teener baseball, one of his teamates had twin brothers about 4 years old, the faucet used to leak by the dugout and every game those boys ended up in the mud, They are big strapping young adults now, but I think everyone still calls them the mud dauber's. Be safe out there. Sam & Donna.

What a cute little kid. I bet there were a few adults there that would have liked to be her on a hot day!

Jerry and I were just discussing this morning about being at 8000' this summer and how we used our a/c one full day and only the other 2 or 3 times when we got home for just minutes to get the initial heat out of the rig.

Hope everyone gets cooler soon, we are actually getting chilly already, especially the evenings.
