Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Cabernet in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!"

PERFECT WEATHER WEEKEND

The weather has been so nice this past week Friday night we decided to eat dinner outside.

                  BEFORE

  002

              And AFTER

003

It was so good and nice to sit outside without the heat. Thought I was going to have to take Angela's plate away from her before she started licking it.

004

Saturday we took Annie to the dog park.We have never been to this dog park it is in the down town area of Kansas City.

005

Annie found so many new smell's.When I took her leash off she took a few steps and looked back to make sure it was ok to run around and play.

006

007

008

Taking a rest by dad.

 010

In the same park is the National World War I Museum at Liberty Memorial.

  013

We didn't go in because we had Annie, but are coming back to look.

View from the memorial looking to down town KC sky line. The building in front is Union Station train depot.

015

Don't know how many remember Western Auto Store this was there home office. The building is pie shape and now is loft type apartments.

Only goes to prove - there are lots of interesting stuff to see - even in our own back yard!

Wow, a lot of stuff to cover in this blog. First, that dinner looked great - inside or outside!

Glad Annie enjoyed the dog park - our pups sure do and the good part is the dogs seem to police themselves off their leashes too so that's good.

That WWI Memorial sure looks spectacular especially with the skyline in the background. Thanks for posting all the pics as it's nice to see places I've never been.

That dinner looked so good no wonder you guys were thinking about licking the plates! LOL

Nice dog park. Such big dogs were there. Looks like they all had fun.

Great pics of the memorial and the city.

Poor Annie no scraps for her or little to lick off the plate, the doggie park looks great, did they have a swim area, Rigg's loves the park we take him to because he can swim and fetch in the lake.Love the train cars. Phyllis is so right about sightseeing close to home we do it all the time and even after all these years we always seem to discover something new. Be safe out there. Sam & Donna.
