Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Cabernet in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!"

Field Trip

Friday morning we took these two on a field trip. Annie in the back seat and Max rides in the back of the truck in his kennel, that’s because he has been know to get car sick.

008

They were due for there yearly check up and shots. We decided to drive 50 miles north to Savannah Missouri  to Angels Vet Express http://www.mshoogys.com/ please take a look at this web site and help if you can.

The sign as you turn off the road.

006

This place is in a rural area and was worth the drive to see.

002

004

We got there check up,pedicure, shots and a year supply of heart worm meds for $200 which is about half the price of the Vet in the city.Angels is a nonprofit service with the donation and money they make  goes to there no kill shelter M’Shoogy’s .  (see web site) They are doing good work for the animals.

005

If you can help them please do…

Saturday we were up early and went out for breakfast and then over to see mom for a few hours at the nursing home. On the way home Angela wanted to stop and get her tomato and pepper plants for her garden.

This is the before picture of the small 8 x 8 garden.

001

And the after picture.

003

Notice the orange construction fence, that’s to keep the furry kids out. We finished out the day with a steak on the grill and a camp fire.

006

Sunday I took another day off from work,I know its starting to be a habit but hey its been a long winter.

After a pancake breakfast we were off with Annie to

009

It was a all proceeds benefit for Northland Animal Welfare Society (NAWS),a non-profit organization committed to build a future for homeless and abused animals.

007

They had booth’s set up with all kinds of pet things.Of course Snoopy was there.

This dog was fun to watch and the tricks were pretty amazing .They also had a 5k run and a 1 mile dog walk with prizes, live music.

Looks like Annie is really enjoying herself, she has the same collar that we use with Rigg's when we walk him on the leash, He must have the turbocharger option because he sure can pull and that collar sure helps in keeping him from taking you for a walk.Be safe out there. Sam & Donna.

That was a great price for the vet bill for two dogs!

Angels Vet Express sounds like a great place to take pets for vaccinations etc. and to support a good cause as well.

Great looking campfire you had going there.

I'll bet the dogs really enjoyed Woofststock!

Those steaks will be even better when served with fresh picked tomatoes and peppers in just a few short months from now!

Annie and Max are beautiful. I think I love this vet shop. If we are ever in that area we will stop in to get Whiskey's med's. Love the idea of what they do with the money.

Looks like the Woofstock had a great turnout. Nice to see that so many people care about their pets and others.
