We made it thru winter finial it was a lone one here in the mid west.
Angela deiced she was tired of the carpet and wanted a wood looking floor.
My son came by and help me lay it. We love it and looks so much nicer than that nasty carpet. Not sure why they put carpet in something that you live in the woods with.
Everybody needs a supervisor and I'm pretty good at that
Notice the old pillow. The floor is hard on the old mans knee’s .
Of course with a new floor the faucet did not match so I had change it also
So of course with a new faucet the step covers did not match so of course I had to change them
Here are some spring pictures of where we are living..
We are trying to get things ready to head to South Dakota the first or second week of June so we can change our domicile.
Still have to get 10 new tires and wash and wax the rig and truck
The plan is for me to retire in September and head to Amazon then Arizona for the winter.

After we had water damage to the floor in our fiver, we tore out the old stuff(carpet and floor) put a marine plywood floor in and covered it is ceramic tile tile that looks like a tile floor. It was money well spent since the marine plywood was twice as thick as the original wood, and the floor covering solid , we now have a solid feeling floor like a stick & brick home.Looks like your crew did a great job. Sam & Donna..
I would love to get rid of the carpet in our rig, but the girls can't get any traction and we don't dare risk them hurting their necks or backs (which doxie's are famous for). Maybe someday. Retirement is coming up fast and washing and waxing the rig will take a few of those days off the calendar. What a job.
Most RV manufactures use carpet in their rigs for a number of reasons. First it is the least expensive to purchase. Second it is the least labor intensive to install. Third the weight of carpet is less than wood or ceramic so the suspension used can be lighter.
Have you noticed a pattern? All those reasons add up to a better bottom line so they can then sell their units at a lower cost to the consumer. If you were comparing two similar trailers and one was way cheaper than the other which would you choose?
Now that your trailer has gained weight you will also notice a slight reduction in fuel milage when towing it. It's still nice when you can personalize your living space as most of us do whether it is an RV or a Sticks and Bricks. Be Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.
Probably when this inlaid in the kitchen goes, we will replace with wood flooring. But I still like carpet in the living areas. To each their own!
Did I miss something? Did your house sell?
That is just like the floor that we put into Sherman a couple of years ago. We have been very happy with it. I don't like carpet much either but Kevin does so we kept carpet in the living room area and the bedroom, I can live with that and it is his job to vacuum.
Nice to see the green leaves out on the trees, isn't it?!
I see Max is out enjoying the nice weather on the picnic table.

ha ha. . .one project begets another. . .ain't that the way it always works?
Nice project. That will be on our list this year.
Looks like you've made it out of the driveway! I've been away a while. Good to see your post and the nice improvements you've made. Progress always makes one feel good.
I love the hardwood floors, but MacGyver prefers carpet...He rules...Looks nice...Can't WAIT to "make like a baby and head out"!!
Replacing the carpet is on our 'possible' list.
