I got my laptop back Thursday from the computer hospital,I was happy that they did save all my pictures, but everything else was pretty much gone. I spent Friday putting things back on like I had it. If I knew as much about this stuff as Rick http://rickpaulettervjournal.blogspot.com I’m sure it would not take me as long to set it up.Everyone has a talent they say I’m still looking for mine. Can anyone recommend a on line photo storage site for us to keep pictures safe?
Friday night Angela and I had a Valentine’s dinner and boy was it good, Rib Eye and Lobster with a little wine ok a lot of wine. We like going out to eat but being at home is more relaxing to us. As you can see by the cards we get each other we like to keep things lite and fun.
ONE DAY CLOSER TO OUR DREAM

I keep my pictures in Picasaweb album, it is very friendly and like it for also being able to "FIX" the photos(light,Crop,Collage,colors/Black and white and so on).
If you need more information just e-mail me.
Look's like a great dinner, What we have done forever as far as picture storage, on the CPO in the office I installed a 60gig hard drive as a lsave and it is used for the bulk storage of pictures, I just creat folders of what I want and then transfer the p[ictures from the My Pictures folder on the C:. On the laptop I bought an 80 gig hard drive and an external case for it that has it's own power supply and USB connector.Got them both from Micro Center on the web for about $50. You will never run out of storage that way and it stays with you. I also use flash drives which Micro Center has cheap when we are traveling with the laptop. The chances are slim that a drive used for storage of just pictures and not having any programs on it will ever corrupt, like your main hard drive with you operating system and programs does. Hope this helps. Be safe out there. Sam & Donna PS. your looking at thousands of pictures on a hard drive. I have 20 years worth of train pictures on the 60gig and it is only 3/4 full.
What a great looking Valentine's Dinner - steak and lobster, can't beat that.
I use Picasa Web Albums for storing all my photos. The first 1GB is free and I pay just $5 per year for an additional 20GB of storage. You can increase that storage as required.
I like it because it's integrated with Blogger and Live Writer as well so any pictures I post on my blog are automatically uploaded to Picasa Web Albums.
It's alse very easy to upload and manage photo albums on Picasa Web Albums using Picasa 3.x - it works great.
Glad to see you got your computer back and all your photos were saved as well.
MMMMMMMM Yum!

I have an external hard drive that I use for nothing but pictures. I think it is around 320 gb so, I will probably never run out of space. Seagate, at wal*mart. I think around $59.00. I would go with what Rick says though, he knows more than all of us put together. Stay warm.
I love SmugMug, I have the middle tier membership for $60 year I get unlimited storage and more. Safe? Read this... http://news.smugmug.com/2011/02/08/why-youre-safe-with-smugmug/
I have an affiliate link on the bottom right of my blog, if anyone decides to sign up, I'd appreciate a click!
Good celebration, but this has put me on the spot to come up with something good! :(
YUM! And cute cards too. ♥♥
As for storage, I have to agree with all the answers. We use all three solutions that were mentioned, Picasa, Smug-Mug, and an external hard drive. We use the hard drive more than anything as it is quick, easy, and portable. Then I edit pictures, delete the ones I don't want to keep, and upload some of the others. You can get a TB or more in a USB drive now. Easy to use.
