We had plans to take a little camping trip this past week but living in the Midwest the weather does not always corporate. It’s been cloudy and cool and it was going to rain. This must be what they talk about plans made in jell-o, and of course it will warm up and be nice and sunny Monday when I go back to work.
Friday we did decide to do something we haven’t done in 20 plus years.
We arrived early as soon as they opened. We wanted to start before anyone got there, just to trying to save any embarrassment we were going to have.
This didn’t help our game but it made it a little more fun!!
Check out our pro looking forum.
I don’t think we have to worry about anybody wanting us for a fall league!!
After making fools of our self it was time to get something to eat. Not to far away a few blocks there is a BBQ place that was made famous on Dinners, Drive-ins and Dives.
The place has a lot of trophy's and awards hanging all over the place.
And the best part was the food.
The weekend is over and time for some of us to go and do that four letter word. (work)
I want to thank Sunny http://sunnyischanginglanes.blogspot.com/ for following our blog. Sunny has a couple blogs check out her paintings they are very good and beautiful.
ONE DAY CLOSER TO OUR DREAM

Bowling and BBQ - how good is that! Looks like a real good time.
Looks like you made lemonade from the lemony weather we had, we cancelled our weekend at the Lake too. Be safe out there. Sam & Donna..
I can't remember the last time I went bowling. I don't think I'd have a score as high as yours! :)
Flexibility is everyone's middle name when it comes to plans. And you definitely made some good second choices.
Thanks for your kind comments! Your meal looks very familiar (only in the South :)... I am wondering what is in the strofoam cup? Looks like maybe extra BBQ sauce, or would it by chance be Burgoo?
Flexibility indeed is the ticket to being content.
Sunny
Ah,,,that BBQ looks good!! I used to be a good bowler, but come to think of it I used to be good at a lot of things!!:-) I guess I'm just a "used to be" guy!! ENJOY!!
I never did like to bowl. Maybe because I could never find the right ball!
Yep, plans change. It's good to be flexible...but bowling is not my thing. I DO, however, like to watch with an icy Rum and Coke in my bowling grip..:-)
YUM -- nothing like good BBQ! Since we are now fulltimers, the rain doesn't bother us -- in fact, we love listening to the rain in the MH!
Bowling, BBQ and beer...sounds like you found a good way to spend the weekend even if you couldn't get that camping trip in.
I can't remember when I went bowling last. I am afraid my score would be much worse!!
I went bowling a couple months ago in Las Vegas and it was a bit more difficult with bifocals...at least I think that was the problem.
Bowling is a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon!!..but the one bad thing about Sunday..is that Monday comes next!!
I would have done a whole lot better on those bbq'd ribs than I would have bowling! Must be 50 years since I've bowled!
Oh does that food look good! We just ate a 3-D's in Goshen, IN. Can't go wrong.
Bowling...brings back tons of good memories.
Enjoy the ride!
Thanks, I had forgotten what a bowling alley looks like, it has been that long.
John and I recently had an impulse to go into a bowling alley but we passed. You make me wish we'd followed through on it.
