It’s been another quite week here in the Midwest. The weather has been so nice for our January we had a few cold days with a light snow and then it warms back up right now as I write this it’s 58 deg. I just hope spring does not come in June and snow in April or May.
Angela and I did take in a movie on Friday we saw Adventure of Tin Tin 3D. It was a good movie,we love the 3D movies they looks so real.
We can’t hardly wait to get the house sold and out of it. I have been reading so many blogs and web site’s on different things people have bought for there rigs like internet and cell booster’s,satellite TV dish to this and that there are so many thing I want to get before we leave I’m not sure where to start or where to stop.
I start thinking we are going to leave here debt free but broke. I know if we don’t win the lottery we will have to workamp here and there to make it. That’s ok at least it will be on our schedule and place we want to be.
ONE DAY CLOSER TO OUR DREAM

We left debt free a little over two years ago. We had a little in our savings, but (especially Paul) was very happy to be out from under the house and all the responsibilities and TAXES! You will find that RV living is cheaper than owning a home. We have expenses but manage to save a ton more than when we had the house. We all went through the same decisions you two are making now. Read all the advise you can get BUT do what is best for you two!!! Don't let anyone tell you their way is the ONLY way. We have changed some of the things we thought were best in the beginning.
Remember...You will never be broke when you have each other!!!
We found that we live cheaper "on the road" than at home for sure...even with paying the real estate taxes for our stix and bricks, plus elec. and gas bill...
We are in the same boat, but we have found that you can find places to saty cheaper than we thought especially if you have the Fedral senior card, and workcamping is always in demand up in the northern states in summer where the southerners escape too.Our biggest problem right now is affordable presription and health care, but on figuring the cost of cobraing Donna's work coverage it appears we can make it on social security and pensions and still not be broke completely. Kevin & Ruth try to live on $1000 a month so that's a good starting place as a goal, of course you have to be thrifty in a lot of ways. Good luck on the house, Sam & Donna..
We are starting our 3rd year as fulltimers. It was a big relief when we sold our house and we left debt-free and not a lot of money. We workamped last summer for the first time -- it was a very positive experience and we met other workampers that will be friends for life. We have a workamping job this summer as well. We feel blessed to be able to live this lifestyle! Good luck with all those decisions & God bless!
It will all work out. I keep a detailed budget. (Not that we EVER keep to it).
We started out debt free and felt it helped us enjoy our time full timing. It also helped when we decided to go just part time.
All of those toys will still be out here waiting for you to scoop them up. Plus with new technology every day you will be the most updated.
The anticipation is all part of the journey. Enjoy!
Sharon
There will always be something to buy even two and a half years after we started full-timing.
Good luck selling your home
It is certainly a dream worth pursuing! Hang in there. Maybe next winter you'll be somewhere warm.
W'eve had our rig since September. We have so much to buy that is necessary, much less the toys! Having it before we go full time is good, because we will be more ready to deal with other needs as they come up.
