Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Cabernet in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!"

Think We Found It

Friday we took a ride to downtown Kansas City to check out the RV show. This years show seemed smaller than ones in the past. There was fewer RV’s and fewer vendors,if course there is always the siding and window vendor’s,I was never sure what they had to do with rving.

In years passed it was so crowed you could hardly walk down the isles and be able to get inside the rv’s, I guess the economy is still slow in bouncing back.

Not sure what she is up to here, maybe looking for the check book to buy this one. Not

The fiver we still are in love with is the Montana 3750FL we love the floor plan the best, with the living room up front where the bedroom usually is. We like the way its divided with the living room then stepping down into the kitchen then the bathroom and the bedroom in the back. It’s like having four separate rooms. We also like having the two outside doors. The only draw back I can see is it doesn't have a very big basement, but has a lot of storage up stair’s.

This savory looking couple trying out one of the two couch’s and thinking about living full time in this rig.

We really like the big window in the bedroom looking out the back.

We feel this model is the one for us (as of right now) if anyone has any pros or cons please leave us a comment.

As we sit here waiting for a snow and ice storm to hit tonight thru Wednesday, we will keep on dreaming.

ONE DAY CLOSER TO OUR DREAM

We had a front living room in our first fiver and loved it, the only reason we traded it off was it dveloped a leak that was goping to cost a fortune to repair, and it was a 93 from before slide outs were perfected, When we were looking for a new one and with a damaged trade in there were no front setups to be found, so we bought our present fiver, I guess were used to it, since Donna likes it and it's roomy with the slide out and we have a full size bed for our Grandson when he comes along rather then a couch small bed. Were waiting for the weather to hit here to let us know what you get. Be safe out there. Sam & Donna.

Looks perfectly good to me. We saw some with the bedroom in the back, and they are very nice. Stay warm.

I don't know anything about fifth wheels, but the floor plan that you want sounds like a good one. It's always fun to check out the competition.

Nice looking rig. I went and checked out the floor plan for this model and it sure seems to have a lot of room. I don't think I've ever been inside a rear bedroom 5'er before but I'll be on the lookout for one to check it out now. Looks like a real nice setup for fulltiming.

We heard about that model coming out just this year. Interested in actually checking it out. Guess we need to stop at a Montana dealer just to see it. We need to stop at one anyhow because of our problem with step replacement on our rig.

It looks like a pretty nice one, the 5er's have a much nicer kitchen than the class A's.

We have seen this model at the last RV show we went to..it is all about personal preference..it is 'different' with the bedroom in the back instead of up top..but cozy still the same..if you think it is the one for you ..stick with your 'gut instinct'!

I am not too familiar with fifth wheels but the Montana is a great unit from all we hear. We saw this model last winter when we were in Gulf Shores and can certainly see why you love it!! It seems so big and roomy and it is well appointed. I give it two thumbs up!!

Everyone we know that has a Montana swears by it...floorplan sounds interesting. See if you can spend a couple of hours in one, going through all the daily motions. Cooking, bathing, sleeping, both in the kitchen, on the sofa, eating, tv...that will tell you if it really works for you.

We also walked through this model at the Hershey RV show last September...very nice!!! It's going to be a battle after the house sells and we can upgrade from the Cougar between this one and the Cameo 36FWS for sure.

I like the looks of that. Don't know much about 5th wheels but as with any RV, do what works for you.

Well, I have a 2002 Big Sky, by Montana/Keystone.
I have had nothing but TROUBLE with the slide out rooms! They really look nice, but I sure wouldn't recommend one. Now, Hitch Hiker/Champagne edition is great. Had two, never had any problem/none what so ever! But they are pricey and Heavy!!

During our search we too feel in love with this model, although to be honest it is way above our budget but as we say we can dream, who knows the Lord might just pick that one out for us too. We as you loved the living room being a the front and it seamed to have larger rooms and I don't think that is really the case but it sure looks like it.
