Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Cabernet in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!"

We Are Learning

We have been reading blogs and everything thing we can find to learn about this thing called “Full Timing” .

What we learned this week was you meet some of the nicest people you could every think you could. We have read blogs about people meeting people and really hit it off and having things in common and then it’s time to tell them see you down the road.

Well Saturday we had to do that.  we have met some great people here in the park. We had to tell Lee,Bill and Stella goodbye today.

Bill and Stella were work campers here and are now headed out to travel. 001

Lee was here working as a inspector on a pipe line and the job was done here and he had to  move to New Orleans for the next job.

One night sitting outside having a few beers I was telling Lee about a trailer hitch that I had and needed put on the back of the 5er. So  the next night when he got home from work he was over to our camp site and was ready to put it on for me. Here is the end result.

That is a rack for my Honda Scooter  to ride on. What a guy for getting it put on for us.

This week we are going to prepare to leave Thursday for

EscapadeWEBHighlight

Thursday morning we have a appointment to have the brakes checked on the 5er and have some wielding done on it. Then we will head to Knob Noster State Park for the night and then to Sedalia on Friday morning.

If anybody that is coming would like to meet up send us a e-mail  and we will e-mail our site number and cell phone number. We would love to meet as many bloggers as we can.

We have met so many nice people on the road. We are in contact with almost all of them and have met up with many again and again.
It was so nice of Lee to help you out. Just another example of how nice, helpful and friendly RVers are.

The Escapade is a great place to go as a new full timer. It was our first big trip in the RV and we took advantage of all the boot camp seminars, it was a great learning time and you will meet lots of great people. Enjoy and safe travels!!!

So nice that the rack got installed in time for your trip to the Escapade. There are some truly wonderful folks running around out there in RV land. Have fun.

Hi, i read your blog occasionally and i own a similar one and i was just curious if you get a lot of spam feedback? If so how do you prevent it, any plugin or anything you can recommend? I get so much lately it's driving me mad so any support is very much appreciated.
