Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Cabernet in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!"

Loading Up

We spent most of the week loading up our Tioga and getting it ready for its maiden voyage.

It’s amazing how many things you need to buy and put in a rv. We installed a 15 inch flat screen TV and wall mount and then it was off to a local rv supply house to get two roof top vent covers,so you know that you can’t go to a place like that and get just one or two things, every isle you go down there are things you can’t live without. (note to self stay away from rv store)

I found the windshield and tire cover’s in a cabinet. I did order and get a gallon of the Solution waterless rv/car wash.Rick  http://rickpaulettervjournal.blogspot.com/ talked about getting some and how he liked it.

It sure made the old rig look pretty good and was a breeze to do.

The grandkids came to spend the weekend and have spent most of the time camping out in the driveway. Savannah watching a movie.

002

Riley found a cool place to take a nap.

003

Saturday night they  talked grandma into sleeping out in the driveway camp ground. I have to work early Sunday so I got lucky and slept in the house with the dogs.

We hope to take our first trip this coming week depending on weather and how mom is doing hospice care is starting this week, she has been falling a lot and has cut her head falling.

I always loved camping in the driveway! It so reminds me of being in my childhood "playhouse".

Driveway camping...so cool!

We had that same note as well when we first started out but now it seems we have all we need and are able to go into those stores and just buy what we intended to buy and nothing more.

Nothing like camping in the driveway for kids - or adults for that matter.

Glad you liked the Solution - rig looked really good!

Sounds like the grandchildren are happy with camping in the driveway. I know that you want to go somewhere, though. You're getting closer!

Paul swears by the Solution. He has used it for over a year and wouldn't use anything else. We wish you a wonderful maiden voyage. Sending a prayer your way for safe travels.
