Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Cabernet in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!"

The BIG BIG News

Some of you may be wondering what the big news is.

After several sleepless and stressful day’s we decided I should get on a plane and go visit George and Linda and there little man Buddy http://geolinsblog.blogspot.com/.

So off to Phoenix,AZ I went Tuesday evening. After landing at Sky Harbor airport witch is a whole city it self very large and finally finding my way to the front door, then locating the rental car bus.

By the time I got the car and drove the 30 miles to Sun City West and found my hotel I was worn out. Did I mention I have not flown on a plane in 15 years can you say stress..

Nice room and not a bad price.

After another restless night and wondering if we were making the right choice. Any of you know what I’m talking about? I guess you will have to read on to see what I did before you can answer that.

Up early Wednesday 2 o'clock ,3 o’clock,4 o’clock and finely 6 o’clock got up and dressed then down stairs to try and  choke down a little of the free breakfast.

View  out the window of my room.

Finally a round 8 o’clock after thinking about getting back on that plane and getting back to KC, I drove over to meet George and Linda. I meet George out back of there condo, we hit it off right away and had a good chin wagging.

This is what I came here to see George about..

After George kept twisting my arm we made a deal and it was ours. Let me tell you that George is a tuff salesman.

George,Linda and Buddy were some of the nicest people and dog you could ever meet.  After saying our good byes I was off back to KC sure hated to leave that beautiful area.

I left about 1pm Wednesday and drove thru some beautiful country.

One picture I forgot to get was one of George,Linda and Buddy,to many things on my mind I guess.

After a long 1400 mile drive I arrived home Friday at 2pm tired. But let me say that Dodge Cummins pulled like a champ up and down hills.

Now the next move is to put the house on the market next spring and hope it sells fast.

We want to leave here with some money and be debt free.

ONE DAY AND STEP CLOSER TO OUR DREAM

Holy Moly!
Congratulations! I have to confess I was kinda skipping ahead there, since I didn't really think staying in the hotel had that much to do with the Big News!
I guess we'll need more pictures now?
I'm just saying.

I was concerned when I read on George's blog they were selling the rig and truck. Then I was relieved when it sold. Had no idea I would "know" both the seller and the buyer. Congrats to all four of you (five I suppose if I include Buddy).

We had a 2002 Cedar Creek. Hope you enjoy this one as much as we enjoyed ours.
