Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Cabernet in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!"

Camping And Our New TOAD

First we want to thank you for all the nice comments left by our RV friends on our Saturday blog for our Lady Bug.

We did have some fun this week, After learning not to go camping on the weekends, we went Wednesday and Thursday to Smithville Lake it’s a Army Corps of Engineers lake.

It was not crowed and very peaceful all the dog got lots of rest in the fresh air.

They have a nice paved trail around the camp ground so we got out for some exercise.

007We had a nice relaxing time but there was something missing.. With having a motor home we have no way to go anywhere to explore the area  outside  the camp ground.

So when we got back Friday we went looking for a TOAD and this is what we found and bought.

019  It’s a Honda Elite 110cc its big enough for both of us to ride on and be able to do some site seeing.

ONE DAY CLOSER TO OUR DREAM

Very nice! We want to get a scooter too, but first we want a hitch installed on the front of the motorhome so that when we're carrying the scooter the weight is more evenly distributed.

We've often thought about something like that too.

We are at a State Park in PA for 9 days. (Will be a challenge as no water/sewer - just electric). Can understand what you say about weekend camping. We are in one site just for last night/today - then move to the site we want once the "weekender" leaves. Unfortunately check out time is as late at 3. We will keep an eye out and hope they decide to call the weekend DONE earlier.

Great looking ride. It's nice to be able to go exploring when you're in a new area.

We don't have a toad either. Of course we haven't been on a trip at all yet anyway. But when we do for a weekend trip we will do without, and for the longer trip at Christmas, one of us will drive the Alfa and one of us will drive the Prius. He's not ready to trade in either of our vehicles for a toad, and we aren't ready dolly the Prius.

Love the scooter!

Corps of Engineers are our number #1 campground! We have never been in one less than excellent! Glad this experience was better than the last one.
Nice toad! Enjoy the ride.
