Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Cabernet in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!"

R.I.P. Lady Bug (2000–2011)

017

I usually don’t post a blog on Saturday but today is a sad day for us. We had to put our oldest dog Lady Bug to sleep today.

This is a picture of her 2 days ago on her last camping trip, she enjoyed her self laying out in the fresh air and laying in the grass.

She has had a hard time getting up and walking for quite a while and in the last few day she didn’t want to get up hardly at all.

She will be missed as part of our pack..

She loved riding in our golf cart..

I am so sorry for your loss. These fur kids of ours are so much a part of our lives and it's hard to say good bye to them when the time comes. What a blessing to know that she was loved and had a wonderful life.

So Sorry to hear of your loss, very sad. It's Thanksgiving here in Canada so maybe try and be thankful for the years you had with your Lady Bug.

Your jewelry is amazing! The Cowboy is just attempting that very craft.

Thanks so much for becoming one of our first followers.

I love your posts and your humor!

So sorry for you guys, I almost hate to see our pets age as I know 11-14 years is usually about it and then they are gone. Hope Annie is doing okay. Sam & Donna....

We are so sorry for your lose. You both did the right thing. There is no reason why the poor thing had to suffer. Our dog had a hard time getting up and walking. We also said good bye and her to sleep.
Please except our prayers for comfort for the two of you.

It's never easy to part with a beloved pet, but you can consider the great life she had with you. Sometimes doing the right thing hurts like heck.

I was reading back through your posts & came across this on your precious Lady Bug. I'm very, very sorry to hear this. They just don't live long enough on this earth, but they live forever in our hearts & souls. We had to say goodbye to a sweet soul today too, a 16 year old Golden named Latte. I'd like to think they are all in a good place, playing like young dogs again...
